A combination of two metals bonded together, usually as a strip. For gold,
the term was originally applied to a gold/silver alloy
but now commonly describes gold/silver alloys that also contain platinum group
metals. It is also used in semi-fabrication
companies to describe rolled gold or gold
filled products.
