Britannia

This 22 carat (916.6 fine) legal tender bullion coin was the first new gold coin issued by the Royal Mint in Britain since the Sovereign was reintroduced in 1817.

The Britannia is struck in four sizes, containing 1 ounce, ½ ounce, ¼ ounce and 1/10 ounce fine gold, with face values of £100, £50, £25 and £10 respectively.
