A Mexican
gold bullion coin with a face
value of 50 pesos and a gold content of 1.2057
troy ounces. First struck in 1921 for the
centenary of Mexico’s independence, it was issued as a standard coin until 1931.
Official new mintings (restrikes)
have been issued dated 1947 and are usually known as 50 pesos coins.
