Gold Reserves

According to IMF data, the official reserves of central banks contained just under 29,600 tonnes (952 million oz) of gold at the end of 2001 while a further 3,400 tonnes (110 million oz) was held by such multilateral agencies as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
