Kam

Chinese for gold. The Chinese have long revered gold for its durability and as a symbol of wealth and immortality. Proverbs abound. ‘Jan Kam butt par hung lo for’ means ‘real gold is not afraid of the fire of a real furnace’. ‘Kam ngan moon oak’ means ‘gold and silver is everywhere in the house’.
