Melters and Assayers

The usual description of organisations whose gold and silver bars are ‘acceptable’ on a particular market or exchange. The London Bullion Market Association good delivery list for gold recognises around sixty melters and assayers currently operating and a further fifty or so melters and assayers no longer operating, or whose name has changed but whose bars are still accepted as good delivery.
