Porphyry Gold

A homogenous igneous deposit in which the crystals of several minerals are finely disseminated. They are found in regions of volcanic activity, such as the Pacific basin ‘rim of fire’ often as copper-gold orebodies, like that at Grasberg or Batu Hijau in Indonesia.
