Company Description

• Canadian Cambior is a gold and niobium producer which currently has four producing assets. It's wholly owned u/g Doyon gold division in Quebec; a 50% stake in the u/g Sleeping giant mine in Quebec; an effective 100% interest in the o/p Omai gold mine in Guyana; and a half interest in the u/g Niobec niobium in Quebec.
• In December 2000 Cambior secured the approval of its lenders for a committed restructuring plan to refinance the companies debt, aimed at stabilising its financial condition after more than a year of threat.
• A deal with Golden Star Resources saw Cambior take over 100% interest the Gross Rosebel project in Suriname.
