Company Description

  • TVX is a Canadian-based mining company whose principal source of precious metal production is derived from shares in five mines, in North and South America, through its 50/50 business partnership with Newmont Mining (formerly with Normandy). The partnership, to pursue opportunities within the Americas, was formed with Normandy in 1999, with TVX contributing its operating assets and the former its exploration properties and paying US$187 million to TVX. Separately, TVX owns the Stratoni mine and the delayed Olympias project in Greece.
