PAMP and the United Nations Educational Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have announced their partnership in bringing a new series of coins and medals to collectors throughout the world. This global initiative will build on the success of UNESCO's popular World Heritage coin series to spread awareness and support for the organization's full-range of international endeavors.

Serving as “silent ambassadors” to the world, the coins and medals of this new series will highlight the entire scope of UNESCO's mission in the areas of education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture, communication and information. The series will also be designed to feature depictions of UNESCO's special events, anniversaries and international days, years and decades.

Throughout this endeavor, PAMP will assume the overall management responsibility for the initiative and together with UNESCO will invite the world's central banks and national mints to join in issuing their own programs of coins and medals.

An international distribution network will be assembled to make this series easily accessible to a world of collectors. Sales of these coins and medals will help support UNESCO in its worldwide missions and spread awareness of its diverse array of good works to the international community.
